Live Your Life With Purpose

In my newsletter this week, I would like to ask if all of you if you are living your life with purpose. You may say- we are not aware of what our purpose is for our lives, what does this mean?  According to Google, “living with purpose means you know for a fact that your work, your contributions and your life makes a positive impact on others. When you have these things all in alignment, then you typically gain a sense of satisfaction which increases your level of well-being.” I love this meaning and it is one I think we should try to live by. Authors /researchers Morgan and Farsides also say: “The factors that are thought to make up a meaningful life include: having Values- allowing experiences, Principles- having a philosophy that guides you, Purpose- establishing clear goal and intentions, Accomplishment –reaching personal goals, and Excitement- engaging in interesting and exciting things. All of these concepts should be considered when we are trying to live out our purpose to make a difference. Though at times, life can become busy and can get in our way, we must try to stay on the path and utilize our gifts and share them with the world. As I look through a spiritual lens, I think about how God has given each one of us various qualities that do not look the same. He deliberately made us different! See, He was intentional when He knitted us in our mother’s womb and wanted us to use these gifts to make a difference even when He was creating us. With this said will you cultivate these talents and use them to touch the lives of others? Will you be obedient and follow His plan? It’s up to you!

Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

Proverbs 19:21

Reflection Questions:

  • What gifts can you identify in yourself that can make a difference in others?

  • What is holding you back from using these talents?

  • Will you be intentional and strive to find your purpose?

Bonus: Great song (if you are interested) - When you think about you’re your purpose, do you say I can “Make a Difference”
